- The Snow College men's basketball team begins a two-game road stretch against Colorado Northwestern Community College Thursday and Utah State University Eastern Saturday.

- The Badgers are coming off a tough loss against No. 16 Salt Lake Community College last Thursday in Ephraim.  The Badgers trailed by as many as 11 points in the second half but were able to cut the lead down to just one before suffering the loss.

- Following the loss to the Bruins, the Badgers are currently in a three-way tie for second place within the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings with a 4-2 conference record.

- The Badgers committed a season-high 18 turnovers against the Bruins.  As a team, the Badgers average 11.0 turnovers per game which is seventh overall in all of the NJCAA Division I Ranks.

- Snow College outshot the Bruins despite the loss shooting 48.9 percent.  The Badgers still rank among the nation's best in shooting percentage.  They shoot 52.8 percent from the field as a team – good enough for fourth overall in the country.

- The Badgers are currently riding a 22-game winning streak against CNCC.  Snow College defeated the Spartans 92-63 Jan. 25 in Ephraim.  The Badgers have only lost once to the Spartans historically and average 89.5 points per game in meetings with CNCC.

- Snow College also owns a 31-11 record over USUE.  The Badgers earned a convincing victory against the Eagles in their last meeting Jan. 27 – a 100-57 win in Ephraim.  The Badgers have won 13 of their last 15 meetings against their rivals from Price.

- The Badgers will once again try to contain Martel Williams, who is currently fifth in the nation in scoring averaging 25.3 points per game.  During their last meeting, the Badgers held Williams to just 10 points – his lowest single-game total of the season.

LAST TIME OUT: The Snow College men's basketball team suffered a 70-66 loss to No. 16 Salt Lake Community College Thursday in Ephraim.  With the loss, the Badgers drop to 19-3 overall and 4-2 within the Scenic West Athletic Conference.Â

The Badgers entered the weekend following a pair of victories against Colorado Northwestern Community College and Utah State University Eastern.  Thursday's matchup with the Bruins was the first meeting between the two teams since last year's Region 18 Tournament Title Game.

The Bruins made four of their first six shots to take an 11-4 lead in the opening minutes.  A pair of 3-pointers from
Dylan Jones and
Colin Christensen capped a quick 9-0 run over the next three minutes to give the Badgers their first lead of the game, 13-11.

The game stayed tight through the middle minutes of the first half, but the Badgers used a 10-0 run to build a 28-18 advantage.  Snow College would eventually extend the lead to 13 points before holding a 12-point lead with under two minutes to play in the opening stanza.  A pair of 3-pointers stamped an 8-0 run from the Bruins to cut the lead to 39-35 heading into the halftime break.

Both teams came out firing in the second half, but the Bruins were able to erase the deficit within two minutes.  They made three 3-pointers on consecutive possessions and took a two-point lead on a Michael Folarin dunk three minutes into the period.

The Badgers regained the lead 52-50 a few minutes later but then had a five-and-a-half-minute scoreless stretch and found themselves trailing by 11 midway through the second half.  The Badgers slowly cut into the deficit and trailed 67-66 with 3:30 to play.

The Bruins held the Badgers scoreless over the final 3:30.  Snow College had several shots to take the lead over the final minutes but could not get anything to fall.  The Bruins would hold onto the lead and win 70-66.

Snow College committed a season-high 18 turnovers which led to 25 SLCC points.  They also surrendered 14 offensive rebounds to the Bruins, who converted those offensive rebounds to 11 second-chance points.

Isaac Finlinson led all scorers with 20 points – his second consecutive 20-point performance.  He also dished a team-high five assists. Â
Dylan Jones was the only other Badger in double figures as he finished with 13 points on 4-7 shooting.
