The Snow College softball team collected four victories against Colorado Northwestern Community College last weekend in Pleasant Grove. The games were moved north due to unplayable field conditions in Ephraim.
The Badgers entered play Friday following a
series against No. 12 Salt Lake Community College during which they were swept in four games. Having not played a home game yet this season, the Badgers entered a stretch of 20 consecutive home games beginning with the Spartans.
The Badgers hit a total of 13 home runs and scored 57 runs over the four games against the Spartans. They scored two runs in the first inning of game one as
Ayden Fitch and
Kamryn Allen each drove in a run.
Back-to-back homers from
Hadlee Walker and Fitch sparked a five-run fifth that also saw
Brenley Boydston plate a run to give the Badgers a 7-2 lead. Allen added another run in the sixth inning on a safety squeeze play that scored Walker. The Badgers went on to win 8-2.
Walker kicked things off for the Badgers in the opening frame of game two with a deep home run to left center. Walker started a rally in the 3
rd inning that saw Snow College plate 13 runs. They recorded nine hits, eight singles and another homer from Walker as they took a 14-2 lead.
The Badgers added seven more runs in the fourth inning aided by two-run singles from Boydston and

Reata O'Neal,
McCall Maxfield, and
Hallie Young also plated runs as Snow College would go on to win, 21-3.
Walker struck again to begin game three as she blasted a two-run homer to left field and gave the Badgers a quick 2-0 lead. The Badgers hit a pair of homers in the second inning to take a 6-0 advantage.
Indee Jones blasted a solo shot to centerfield and Fitch homered to left center three batters later.
The Badgers recorded four singles and two doubles to start the third inning before Allen, Boydston, and
Hailey Mangum hit home runs on consecutive at-bats to give the Badgers a commanding 15-0 lead which they would hold onto for the win.
Kenley Henson collected the win inside the circle as she went five complete innings, allowed just two hits, and struck out seven Spartans while surrendering zero runs.
An
Andrea Sweat double preceded homers from O'Neal and Maxfield to give the Badgers an early 4-0 to start game four. Snow College scored two runs in the second, four runs in the third, and four more runs in the fourth and would go on to earn the 14-3 victory.
