The Snow College men's and women's cross country teams each finished in third place at the Idaho State University Big Sky Preview Meet Friday.

The Badgers entered the event following the BYU Autumn Classic last weekend. The men's team finished in fifth place out of six teams while the women came in sixth. The ISU Big Sky Preview served as the third meet of the season for the new programs.

The men's team had two finishers inside the top 25 in the 8K race, led by
Gage Helm, who clocked in at 25:13.9, which was good enough for 20
th overall.Â
Kolter Parkin claimed a 23
rd-place finish as he crossed the finish line in 25:26.1.

A handful of Badgers finished just outside the top 25 as
Carter Day secured a 26
th-place finish with a time of 25:31.5. David Barlow came next at 25:41.9 and
Christopher Hercules finished 28
th with a time of 25:43.6.

On the women's side,
Jenna Fife finished just outside the top 20 with a time of 19.54.2, finishing in 21
st place.Â
Zanna Perry earned a top-25 finish as she finished the 5K race in 20:25.6.Â
Lara Sorensen and
Karla McCoy both finished inside the top 30. Sorensen finished in 26
th with a time of 20:38.7 while McCoy claimed 29
th, finishing in 22:29.2.

Snow College will now head south to participate in the Color Country Invitational hosted by Southern Utah University. The meet will take place at the Cedar Ridge Golf Course in Cedar City. For additional information, visit snowbadgers.com.
