The Snow College women's soccer team claimed its first home victory over Western Nebraska Community College with a score of 7-0 Wednesday.
The Badgers opened the score on a goal by Daisha Wagner assisted by Megan Hanson in the 9th minute. The Badgers soon extended their lead with a second goal in the 14th minute netted by Liv Harding on a pass from Paige Bayles.Â
The Badgers did not slow down, scoring two goals in under two minutes. The first of the two, was scored by Ali Spencer with the assist from Harding in the 20th minute, and then Harding scoring again in the 21st minute thanks to an assist from Bailee Ballard.
The Badgers scored for a fifth time in the 27th minute by Mirabel Shellabarger with Bayles getting her second assist of the game to finish off the half with a 5-0 lead..
Quickly after the second half began, Kristyn Narvaez assisted Harding for her third goal of the game to claim a hat trick against the Cougars. Harding is currently slotted at No. 16 in the nation with six goals on the season.
The Badgers netted their seventh goal, scored by Wagner in the 51st minute assisted by Narvaez.
Hayley Ogden and Daisy Williams both played in goal, allowing zero goals and each saving one shot. The Badgers' goalkeepers have allowed only one goal on the season.
The Badgers out shot the Cougars 34-2 in the match. Snow College had 17 shots on goal while limiting the Cougars to two shots on goal.Â
The No. 16 Badgers now hold a 3-0-0 record for the season. Scenic West Athletic Conference play will begin on Saturday for the Badgers.
