Mathias Christensen of the Snow College men's soccer team has been named the Scenic West Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Year, the Conference announced Monday.
 
Christensen claims the award following a record-setting season in goal for the Badgers, who went 11-3 in conference play and won the SWAC championship for the first time in program history.
 
Christensen was one of two Badgers to appear in all 19 games for the team this season. He started all 19 in goal for Snow College, which finished the season with a 14-5 overall record.
 
Christensen, a sophomore from Assentoft, Denmark, recorded 52 saves throughout the season, which was good enough for 34^th in the nation. He collected 14 wins from goal for the Badgers while also recording seven shutouts.
 
Christensen, who recorded 55 saves as a freshman, owns the Snow College program record for career saves. He recorded the record-breaker in the 34^th minute against Truckee Meadows Community College Oct. 25. He is the only player in program history to record 100 career saves.
 
Christensen, who tied the single-season program record for wins as a freshman, broke that record this season as he picked up 14 wins in goal for the Badgers. He now also owns the program record for career wins with 25.
 
Christensen won the SWAC Goalkeeper of the Week twice throughout the 2025 season.
