The Snow College men's wrestling team finished in third place at the Region 18 Tournament over the weekend.
Caleb Marx secured the Region championship for the Badgers as they also had four second-place finishers and three third-place finishers. Nine wrestlers in total qualified for the NJCAA National Tournament.

 Marx finished in first place in the 165-pound division. He won two matches via fall including his first matchup against Anthony Thomas of Umpqua Community College in just 2:39. Marx secured a 10-7 victory via decision before winning the first-place match via fall in 4:14 against Gabe Lake of North Idaho College.

Jacob Finlinson won both of his first matches by decision – and 8-5 win over Ethan Boulton of NIC and an 11-9 result against Ryo Horikawa of Southwestern Oregon Community College to enter the championship bout. He suffered a 12-2 loss to finish in second place in the 141-pound division.

Wylie Stone also finished in second place in the 149-pound class. Stone won both the quarterfinal and the semifinal matchups via fall. He pinned Josh Hannan of Clackamas Community College in 4:12 and Alexander Barajas of Big Bend Community College in just 1:14. Stone came up short in the championship bout to finish second.

Chandler Thompson earned the figurative silver medal in the 184-pound division. Thompson's opponent in the quarterfinal matchup was forced to bow out due to a medical forfeit. Thompson responded and defeated Drake Wood of BBCC via technical fall. He finished second after suffering a loss via decision in the first-place matchup.

Kenneth Phillips was the fourth Badger to finish in second place in the tournament. He received a bye in the first round before earning an 11-1 victory against Matthew Ager of SOCC. In the closest match of the tournament, Phillips suffered a 2-1 loss in the championship bout.

Dagen Lamano claimed third place in the 125-pound class. After receiving a bye, he was defeated in his first match via tech fall. He proceeded to win his next matchup due to a medical forfeit to enter the third-place match. He defeated Nicolas Garza of UCC via decision to finish in third place.

Josiah Wickard also finished third in the 157-pound division. He received a bye before dropping the semifinal matchup via tech fall. Wickard then won the consolation matchup via fall in just 2:08. He defeated Hakuilua Paaluhi 8-5 to claim third place.

Dillon Sorenson was the final Badger to finish on the podium during the tournament. He won his quarterfinal matchup via fall in 3:14 before falling in the semifinal. Sorenson recovered to win each of his next two matchups. He earned an 8-0 decision before defeating AJ Wedge of UCC to finish third.

Jordan Free, who earned two victories during the tournament, was selected as a wild card to go to the national tournament.
