Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 EPHRAIM – The Snow College softball team was swept at home for the first time in two years this past weekend as the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) put pressure on the Badgers by scoring first in every game. CSN won Friday's doubleheader, 5-1 and 6-4, and completed the sweep on Saturday, 8-6 and 6-4, with the last game of the series going nine innings.

The Badgers could manage only five hits in the series opener with sophomore BritLee Anderson leading the way with a pair of singles. Karlee Manzione had a double in the game and freshman catcher Brooke Davis scored Snow's only run on a solo homerun in the seventh.

Anderson went three-for-four in Friday's second game including a double, but it wasn't enough as CSN scored twice in the fifth inning to take the win. Freshman Riley Cleverly drove in two runs with a single in the bottom of the second when the Badgers scored three runs. 

The Badgers gave up three unearned runs in the top of the first inning in Saturday's opener and had to play catch-up the rest of the way. Anderson and Manzione each had a pair of hits, one of Manzione's going for a double, and Snow's Kenzie Rasmussen caught fire pounding out a double and a homer in three at-bats while driving in four runs.

Snow had several chances to win Saturday's series finale and avoid the sweep, but just could not come up with a timely hit when they needed it. After CSN tied the game at two with a run in the top of the sixth, Snow got runners into scoring position in the bottom of the sixth, seventh and eighth innings, but failed each time to drive in the winning run.

The Badgers' runs in the second and fifth innings came on solo homers by Manzione and Davis. After CSN scored four times in the top of the ninth, Snow battled back scoring twice on hits by Shaylee Larsen, Megan Hansen and Emily Adams, along with a sacrifice fly by Cassidy Anderson, but still fell short two runs. Adams, Manzione and Davis each finished with a pair of hits in the game, and Hansen finished three-for-four including a double.

BritLee Anderson went one-for-four in the game as she and Manzione hit safely in all four games of the series, Anderson finishing eight-for-14 and Manzione going seven-for-16. Sarina Creswell and Megan Mello each went seven-for-14 in the series to lead CSN at the plate. Mello was also the winning pitcher in the first game each day with Kristina Nelson picking up the win in each day's second game. Sophomore Belle Stoddard started for Snow in the circle in the first game both days and freshman Riley Cox was the starter in each day's second game.

This week the Badgers will host the College of Southern Idaho which is currently ranked No. 13 in the nation. Friday's doubleheader is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m. with Saturday's games scheduled to begin at noon.
