Badgers Bounce Back Against USU-Eastern

Box Score PRICE, Utah (Janurary 26, 2017) — The 25th ranked Snow College men's basketball team started the game quick and didn't let their foot off the gas as they topped USU-Eastern, 80-59, on Thursday night. After falling to Salt Lake CC last weekend, the Badgers got back on track in conference play, with a 6-1 record against region opponents, and an 18-3 overall mark on the season.

Utah State Eastern had a tough time getting anything going in the first half as the Badgers stifling defense led to a 28-6 lead with 8:25 left until halftime. Snow finished on a 19-12 run and found themselves leading at the half 47-18.

The Badgers came out of halftime a bit slow as the Golden Eagles went on a 21-10 run in the first nine minutes of the second half. The Badgers wouldn't let the Golden Eagles momentum stop their aggressiveness as Romain Boxus hit back-to-back three-pointers to keep the Badgers lead above 20 points and swing the momentum back in the Badgers favor. Zach Hunsaker led the Badgers with 20 points, and AJ Jones led the Badgers with eight assists in the win over USU-E.

Snow College will go to battle against Colorado Northwestern in Ephraim, Utah on January 28, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
