Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Feb. 18, 2017) – Coming off a 99-93 road victory over Southern Idaho on Thursday, the 19^th ranked Snow College men's basketball team stumbled on Saturday, losing at Salt Lake CC, 96-83. The 13-point loss marked the largest margin of defeat since losing to top-ranked South Plains back on December 30 by 20 points.
 
Trailing 39-35 after the first half, the Badgers came out hot in the second half, scoring eight straight points to take a 43-39 lead with 18:40 remaining in the game. The two team took turns taking the lead, but when Christian Gray slammed one down with 10:49 left in the second half to tie the score, the Bruins never looked back. Zach Hunsaker's three-pointer with 5:58 left brought the Badgers to within one at 76-75, but the Bruins went on a 10-1 run over the next several minutes to regain control of the game. The Bruins shot a solid 62 percent from the field in the second half to keep Snow at bay.
 
Hunsaker scored a team-high 20 points on the night, followed by Nate Bruneel who added 17. Riley Panter added 14 points, while Blake Truman was credited with 11 points. Hunsaker was also the team's leading rebounder with five on the night.
 
The Badgers own a two-game lead over CSI in the conference standings. A win on Thursday against USU-Eastern would give the Badgers the outright regular-season conference championship. Thursday's game against USU-Eastern will tip off at 7:30 p.m. Snow College has posted a perfect 12-0 record at home this season.
