Box Score PRICE, Utah (February 7, 2017) — The Snow College men's basketball team fought hard in a closely contested game against the Utah State Eastern Eagles on Tuesday night. The Eagles' Cam Bailey connected on the front end of a 1-and-1 opportunity from the free throw line with four seconds left to give USU-E a one-point lead. The Badgers were unable to score in the final seconds. The loss moves Snow to 21-4 overall on the season.
The Badgers jumped to a fast 10-4 lead before USU-E went on a run to pull ahead by 2. The Badgers didn't stay down for long as they went on an 11-0 run and found themselves up by 10-points with four and a half left until halftime. The Badgers finished the half ahead by 3.
Snow College and Utah State-Eastern traded shots coming out of halftime and each team took their share of leads throughout the second half. The Badgers lead by as many as five points and the Eagles lead by as many as eight; but neither team moved too far past those respective advantages. With 20-seconds left in the game, Riley Panter hit a game-tying three pointer to swing the momentum in the Badgers favor. With four seconds remaining, Utah State-Eastern hit a free-throw to go up by one point and seal the win for the Eagles.
