EPHRAIM, Utah (March 24, 2017) — The Snow College softball team snapped a ten game losing streak as they fell in game one to the Colorado Northwestern Spartans 9-5 and topped the Spartans in game two with a massive offensive outing, 5-14.

Snow College got the offense started in the second inning off of an Alyssa Arslanian solo home run to left field which was followed by a Sydni Sorensen ground out that scored Dakota Gee to tie the game at 2.  Makenzie Simons grounded into a fielders choice which scored Abby Kennedy in the bottom of the third inning to put the Badgers ahead 3-2. After the Spartans jumped ahead in the fourth, Sarah Sandberg singled on a line drive in the fifth inning which lead to Arslanian and McCall Stoddard crossing the plate to put Snow College in the lead once again 5-4.  A four-run sixth inning by the Spartans propelled them to victory over the Badgers 9-5.  Arslanian lead the team offensively with 2-hits, 2-runs scored, and an RBI while Carley Guymon pitched another complete game for the Badgers.

The Badgers started game two fast as they jumped out to a 2-0 lead when Gee singled to left field and scored Torri Bills.  Arslanian scored on a past ball on the next pitch.  The Badgers tacked on five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning beginning with  Bills ground ball that scored Stoddard.  Snow College ended the game strong with a 7-run fifth inning that was completed with Stoddard hitting a line drive single into left field that brought home Arslanian to finish off the Lady Spartans 5-14.  Simons lead the team with 3-hits while three Badgers combined for 2 RBI's a piece in the win.
