Box Score PRICE, Utah (March 31, 2017) — The Snow College softball team continued with their winning ways as they outscored the USU-Eastern Golden Eagles 29-10 in two games on Friday.
Snow College beat Utah State Eastern in a close game as they overtook the Golden Eagles 10-9 in game one on Friday afternoon. The Badgers got things started in the second inning off of an Alyssa Arslanian home run and a Bailey Vigil single that scored Sarah Sandberg to put them ahead 2-0. Makenzie Simons homered to left field in the fifth to put the Badgers ahead 4-2 as a huge sixth and seventh inning awaited Snow College. Vigil homered to begin the rally and was followed by an Arslanian double that scored McCall Stoddard and Whitney Perkins. Haylie Smith hit a three run blast in the seventh inning to propel the Badgers to a 10-9 victory. Madison Parrish lead the team with a 3-hit game, and Arslanian and Smith tied with a team leading 3-RBI's each. Four Badgers had a home run in game one on Friday.Â
The Badgers dominated game two against the Golden Eagles as they scored three runs in the first inning, seven in the second, six in the third, and two in the fourth inning before the game was called and the Badgers were ahead 18-1. Â The game finished Saturday morning as Snow College added one more run to beat Utah State Eastern 19-1. Dakota Gee and Perkins lead the team with 3-hits each while Gee also lead the team with 4 RBI's on the night.
Snow College will play against USU-Eastern again on April 1, 2017 at 12p.m.
