EPHRAIM, Utah (April 14, 2017) — The Snow College softball team gave up six runs in the final inning as they fell to the Southern Idaho Golden Eagles in game one 11-8. The Badgers were shut out in game two 8-0 on Friday.

Snow College jumped to a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the first inning as Sarah Sandberg hit a fly ball to right field that scored Alyssa Arslanian and Torri Bills. Southern Idaho scored three runs in the next two innings before Bills crossed the plate once again to bring the Badgers within one run of the Golden Eagles. Abby Kennedy scored in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game at five and was followed by a Sandberg single to left field that scored McCall Stoddard to put the Badgers up by one. Sandberg lead a last inning charge as she reached on an error and drove in Bills and McKenzie Simons to bring Snow College within three runs.  The Golden Eagles held off the Badgers for the remainder of the game as Snow College lost game one 11-8. Bills lead the team with three hits and three runs scored.

The Lady Badgers weren't able to get anything going in game two against the Lady Golden Eagles as they lost 8-0. Snow College left five runners in scoring position in the loss.  Bills and Kennedy lead the team with two hits, and Sydney Barney threw a five strikeout complete game.

Snow College will face College of Southern Idaho once again on April 15, 2017 at 12p.m.
