Box Score SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (April 22, 2017) — The Snow College softball teams woes continued on Saturday afternoon as the Bruins finished the sweep against the Lady Badgers. The Bruins won the first game 8-0 and the second game 8-2.
Snow College wasn't able to get any offense going in game one on Saturday as the Salt Lake Community College Bruins pitcher Addie Jensen threw a no hitter against the Lady Badgers and was one walk shy of pitching a perfect game.
The Lady Badgers took a 2-2 tie into the fifth inning when Salt Lake tacked on two runs to put the Badgers away. The Lady Badgers took the lead in the second inning when Alyssa Arslanian swiped home plate to put Snow College ahead 1-0. Arslanian came up big in the third inning when she reached on an error and scored McKenzie Simons to put the Badgers up 2-1. They couldn't hold onto the lead though as SLCC scored seven more runs to beat the Badgers 8-2. Whitney Perkins lead the team with two hits.
Snow College will travel to Rangely, Colorado to take on Colorado Northwestern Community College on April 28, 2017 at 1p.m.
