Box Score EPHRAIM, Utah (May 6, 2017) — The Snow College softball team split their final series against the Lady Golden Eagles losing game one, and winning game two on Saturday.
Snow College fell behind early in game one 4-0 before McCall Stoddard singled to left to bring in Ann Marie Allred to put the Badgers on the board. Kylie Jeffs tripled in the third to bring in Dakota Gee and Torri Bills hit a sac fly in the fourth to bring home Haylie Smith. Alyssa Arslanian hit a two run home run in the sixth to bring the score to 10-5 in favor of USU-E. Snow College had a seventh inning rally as Smith and Bailey Vigil brought home one run a piece, but the Badgers came up short as they fell in game one 10-7. Three Badgers tied with 2 hits each and Arslanian lead the team with 2-RBI's.
MaKenzie Simons began the Lady Badgers offense with a single that scored Arslanian in the first. Jeffs followed that at-bat up with a single of her own that drove in Simons to tie the game at two at the end of the first. Arslanian hit her second two-run home run on the day in the third and was followed by Tiffany Williams hitting a single to score Simons, and Williams eventually coming around to score on a passed ball. The Lady Badgers scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning which included a Whitney Perkins triple and an Ashlee Murray homer to lead the Badgers to a 12-9 victory. Simons and Williams had three-hits along with Perkins driving home 3 RBI's to lead the team.
