Bruins Use Strong Second Half to Defeat Badgers

Box Score SALT LAKE CITY (February 10, 2018) — Trailing Snow College, 35-31 at halftime, No. 6 Salt Lake Community College outscored the Badgers 56-25 in the second half en route to an 87-60 victory on Saturday. With the win, the Bruins improve to 8-1 in league play and 25-2 overall, while Snow drops to 2-7 in SWAC action and 12-13 overall. 

Snow started off well, capping an 11-0 run with a Souleymane Guey dunk to give the Badgers a 10-point lead at 26-16 with 6:43 left in the first half. The Bruins came out swinging in the second half as they went on an 11-0 run of their own to take the lead back 42-41. Just a few minutes later, SLCC went on a 28-4 run behind sharp three-point shooting to extend their lead over the Badgers to 70-45. The Bruins shot a blistering 60 percent from the floor, draining 10 three-pointers in the second half. 

Nick Houston led the Badgers in scoring with 10 points, while Triston Sadler put up nine points of his own to go along with four assists off the bench. Bushmen Ebet had a big game for the Bruins dropping a game high 21 points, going 8-of-13 from the field. SLCC also had some good play from the bench, Josh Colon putting up 14 points, including a 4-for-6 f performance from behind the arc to help the Bruins in the come-from-behind victory. 

Snow will be back in action on Thursday, February 15 at Colorado Northwestern. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30pm.
