EPHRAIM, Utah (February 24, 2018)) -- Rafael Monteiro's and-one with :54 seconds reaming in the game helped secure Utah State Eastern's 80-74 victory over Snow College on Saturday in the Badger's final, regular-season, home game of the year. With the loss, the Badgers dropped to 13-15 on the season and will enter next week's Scenic West Athletic Conference Tournament as the No. 4 seed.

Logan Hokanson's lay-up with eight minutes remaining in the game gave Snow College a four-point lead; however, USU Eastern regained the lead on a Karbala Gueye dunk and then iced the victory when Monteiro completed the three-point play with just :54 seconds remaining in the game. 

Monteiro registered a game-high 31 points to lead the Eagles, while Jake Bailey put up 16 points and seven rebounds to lead the Badgers. Hokanson and Stockton shorts posted 15 and 14 points, respecitively. 

Snow College will play host to the 2018 Scenic West Athletic Conference Tournament, beginning on Thursday, March 1.
