EPHRAIM, Utah (February 28, 2020) -- The Snow College women's softball team got off to a hot start in Scenic West Athletic Conference play, defeating Utah State Eastern, 11-4 in the first game of Friday's doubleheader, followed by a 6-2 win in the second game.
In the opening game of the home series, the Lady Badgers jumped out to a 7-3 lead after the second inning. Snow would score four more runs over the next five innings to down the Lady Eagles, 11-4.
Mia Fernandes led the Lady Badgers going four-for-four in the opening game of the series, scoring three runs.
Kadi Bateman and
Kloie Park each went 3-for-4 and scored three runs. Mickey Mills went the distance for Snow, allowing four runs on nine hits over seven innings of work.
In the second game the Lady Badgers defeated USUE, 6-2. The two teams will square off again Saturday afternoon in another doubleheader, beginning at 12 noon.
