- The Snow College men's basketball team will host Colorado Northwestern Community College Thursday in Ephraim.  The matchup with the Spartans will serve as the middle game of a five-game home stretch for the Badgers.

- The Badgers are coming off a victory against the College of Southern Nevada where they earned a 108-86 victory.  This is the seventh time this season the Badgers have eclipsed the 100-point mark in a game.

- Dylan Jones scored 32 points – two points off his career high set Nov. 24, in a victory over Treasure Valley Community College.  Jones was a combined 12-18 from the field and made seven 3-pointers in the Badgers victory over the Coyotes.

- Following the victory, the Badgers cracked the top ten teams in the nation in various scoring categories.  They are currently ninth overall in scoring at 92.7 points per game and eighth in field goals made per game.  Their 52.6 field goal percentage as a team ranks seventh among all NJCAA schools.

- The Badgers made 12 3-pointers while shooting 50 percent from beyond the arc against the Coyotes.  This is their best shooting performance from deep all season and the highest total since they shot 57.6 percent in a 128-55 victory against Community Christian College Feb. 18, 2023.

- The Spartans enter Thursday's clash with a 10-9 overall record and a 2-2 mark within the SWAC.  This is the first time the Spartans have been over .500 after their first 19 games to start a season.  This comes after going a combined 11-43 over the previous two seasons.

- The Badgers have only lost one time to the Spartans.  Snow College owns a 41-1 overall record against CNCC and has won each of the last 19 meetings between the two teams.  As a team, the Badgers average just under 90 points per game against the Spartans.Â

- The Eagles are 12-5 overall the season and 2-2 within the SWAC.  They are coming off a pair of losses against the College of Southern Idaho and North Idaho College.  The Badgers are 30-11 historically against USUE.  The Badgers went 1-2 against the Eagles last season including a 66-64 victory Dec. 14 in Price. Â

LAST TIME OUT: The Snow College men's basketball team earned a 108-86 victory against the College of Southern Nevada Thursday in Ephraim. Â
Dylan Jones caught fire and made seven 3-pointers en route to scoring 32 points to lead all scorers.

The Badgers entered play Thursday following a 1-1 road trip in the Gem State.  The Badgers earned a 77-75 victory against North Idaho College before suffering an 85-71 defeat against the College of Southern Idaho.

Snow College got off to a hot start.  A pair of 3-pointers from
Mark Brown Jr. and Jones saw the Badgers jump out to a 10-2 lead within the first few minutes of action, but a quick 8-0 burst from the Coyotes leveled the game at 10.

The Coyotes took their first lead of the game midway through the first half but held the advantage for less than 90 seconds.  It was at the seven-minute mark when Jones became incandescent from beyond the arc.  He made 3-pointers on three consecutive possessions, giving the Badgers their largest lead of the game at 35-27.

Jones added another 3-pointer near the end of the first half.  He finished the opening period with 18 points on 5-7 shooting from beyond the arc. Â
Max Triplett capped off the first half with a dunk to give the Badgers a 48-38 lead at the break.

Snow College maintained the momentum into the final 20 minutes.  They used an 8-0 run capped off by another Jones' 3-pointer to take a 63-45 lead with 15 minutes to go.  Over the next ten minutes, the Badgers put the throttle to the floor and outscored the Coyotes 21-9 over that stretch.  They cruised through the final five minutes of action to earn the 108-86 victory.

As a team, the Badgers shot 58 percent from the field, which is their fifth-best shooting performance of the season.  They also shot a whopping 50 percent from beyond the arc going 12-24 throughout the game, which is the best performance from distance this season.  This is the first time this season the Badgers have shot 50 percent or better from 3-point range after having four such performances during the 2022-23 campaign.

Four Badgers scored in double figures led by Jones, who poured in 32 points on 12-18 shooting from the field and 7-10 shooting from distance.  He also grabbed three rebounds in the win. Â
Isaac Garrett had his best performance as a Badger as he recorded career highs in points and rebounds finishing with 21 points and 13 boards. Â

Three other Badgers scored in double figures including
Isaac Finlinson, who scored 14 points, and Triplett, who finished with 10 points, five rebounds, and five assists.  Brown Jr. flirted with a triple double as he scored 11 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished seven assists.

The Badgers were originally scheduled to face Community Christian College Saturday in Ephraim, but that matchup has been postponed.  Snow College will return to action next week and take on Colorado Northwestern Community College Thursday in Ephraim.  Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. inside the Horne Activity Center.  For video streaming and live stat information, visit snowbadgers.com.
