The Badgers are coming off a pair of victories against Colorado Northwestern Community College (3-0) and SLCC (3-1) in the final regular season weekend. The two victories pushed the Badgers into the 2-seed entering the Scenic West Athletic Conference tournament.

KNOW YOUR FOE: The Badgers are 17-19 historically against the Bruins after defeating them in both matches this season. This was the first time since 2020 that the Badgers defeated the Bruins in both regular season matches.

The Bruins are 18-9 overall with a 7-3 conference record. SLCC's three conference losses were to Utah State University Eastern and to Snow College twice. The Bruins were the only team to defeat the 9-1 Eagles during conference play.

LAST TIME OUT: The Snow College volleyball team wrapped up the regular season with a pair of victories over Colorado Northwestern Community College (3-0) and No. 11 Salt Lake Community College (3-1) last weekend.Â

The Badgers were coming off two victories at home over the College of Southern Idaho (3-0) and North Idaho College (3-1). Snow College, having already claimed a berth into the Region 18 Tournament, needed two victories in the season's final weekend to secure the two seed in the tournament.

With the wins over CNCC and SLCC, Snow College wrapped up regular season play with a 15-8 overall record and a 7-3 conference record. The Badgers will enter the Region 18 tournament as the second seed and will play the third seed SLCC Nov. 6 at 4 p.m. The tournament will take place in Price, Utah.Â

The Badgers started the first set against CNCC with a quick 4-0 burst before the Spartans answered back with three points of their own. The Badgers eventuall extended the lead to 14-9 midway through the set. The Badgers kept the Spartans at arms length and eventually took the first set 25-16.

The second set started with a 4-3 lead for Snow College before the Badgers went on a dominating, 11-point run to go up 15-3.Â

The Spartans then took six of the next 10 points to put the score at 19-9 in favor of the Badgers. Snow College then finished the game on a six-point run to claim the second set 25-9.

The Badgers took seven of the first 10 points to begin the third set. Snow College was then up 14-10 when the Badgers went on a late five-point burst to extend the lead to 19-10. The Badgers then scored six of the last nine points to win the set 25-13.

After the 3-0 victory over CNCC, the Badgers traveled to SLCC for the final match of the regular season.

The first set against the Bruins went back-and-forth until the Bruins were up 9-8. Snow College and SLCC then split the next eight points with each team going on a four-point run.

The set was then knotted at 16 when the Badgers went on a three-point burst to go up 19-16. The Bruins took three of the next four points to push the score to 20-19 in favor of Snow College. The Badgers then scored the last five points to win 25-19.

The Badgers used a four-point burst early in the second set to take an 8-5 lead. The next four points were split before another Badger four-point run to push the score to 14-8.Â

The Badgers held the Bruins at arms length and finished the set with another five-point run to win, 25-14.

The third set stayed close until the Bruins went on a four-point burst to take a 12-7 lead. The Bruins maintained the lead and used a five-point run to go up 19-11.

The Badgers answered back with a four-point burst to cut into the deficit. The two teams then split the next 10 points to push the score to 24-20 before SLCC won the game 25-20.Â

The Badgers early in the third set before going on a five-point burst to take a 16-10 lead. The Bruins rallied back and used a five-point run to push the score 17-16 in favor of Snow College.

The score teeter-tottered in the second half of the set, which saw the Bruins take a late 21-20 lead. The Badgers won five of the final seven points to claim the fourth set 25-23 and earn the 3-1 victory.

The Badgers had four members with double digit kills led by
Cass Klapp and
Liv Marshall, each with 14. They were closely followed by
Maggie Larsen with 12 and
Cami Christiansen with 11.
Kinley Kerbs led the Badgers in assists with 44 over the course of the weekend.
Aspen Anderson tallied 25 digs to lead the Badger defense.

UP NEXT: If the Badgers win on Wednesday, they will then play the winner of USUE and the College of Southern Idaho Thursday in the championship game. The SWAC title game will begin Thursday at 1 p.m.Â
