GAME NOTES
• The Snow College men's basketball team will head out onto the road and square off with the College of Southern Nevada Thursday in Las Vegas, Nevada. The matchup with the Coyotes will be the penultimate road game of the season for the Badgers.
• Snow College is coming off a rough homestand during which it suffered losses against North Idaho College (74-69) and the College of Southern Idaho (85-71). In total, the Badgers have lost each of their last three games and four of their last five.
• Snow College shot just 43 percent from the field and 26 percent from beyond the arc Saturday against the Golden Eagles. The Badgers have shot just 21 percent (14-68) from deep over their last three games. Before the previous three games, Snow College shot nearly 39 percent as a team from beyond the arc throughout the season.
• Max Triplett recorded a double-double against both the Cardinals and the Golden Eagles. He is the first Badger to record a double-double in consecutive games since Truman Moore accomplished the feat in 2018.
• Triplett scored 20 points and grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds against the Golden Eagles. It is the first time a Badger has recorded at least 15 rebounds since Clayton Southwick grabbed 16 rebounds against Central Wyoming College Nov. 18, 2022.
• The Badgers defeated the Coyotes 108-86 in Ephraim Jan. 18. Dylan Jones shined for the Badgers that night as he recorded 32 points on 12-18 shooting. He also went 7-10 from beyond the arc in the win.

LAST TIME OUT: The Snow College men's basketball team suffered a pair of defeats against North Idaho College and the College of Southern Idaho over the weekend. With the losses, the Badgers have now dropped each of their last three games.
The Badgers entered this game following a 90-58 loss against Utah State University Eastern last weekend in Price. This came following an 87-58 victory against Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely.
The Badgers got out to a quick start against the Cardinals. A Dylan Jones triple and an Isaac Finlinson dunk helped the Badgers take a 12-4 lead just three minutes into action. The Cardinals slowly began to cut into the advantage before leveling things at 19 apiece with 12 and a half minutes to play in the opening period.
Things stayed close through the middle minutes before a couple of layups from Isaac Garrett helped the Badgers take a 39-30 lead with 3:30 left. NIC ended the half on a quick 5-0 burst to trim the Badgers' lead to 42-37 heading into the halftime break.
Snow College extended its lead to a game-high 10 points within the first two minutes of the second half. The Cardinals turned the game on its head when they went on a 14-3 run to take a 61-58 lead with under eight minutes to play.
The Badgers would be able to regain the lead briefly with a Colin Christensen layup with under five to play. NIC responded to take a 71-66 lead before Gaige Savage cut the deficit to two following a 3-pointer, but it was too little too late as the Badgers suffered the 74-69 defeat.
Jones led all scorers with 20 points and five rebounds. Max Triplett recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Christensen chipped in 11 points and six rebounds in the loss.
Following the loss to the Cardinals, the Badgers squared off with CSI for the second time this season. Snow College suffered an 85-71 loss to the Golden Eagles – the same final score from the first meeting of the season between these two teams. Â
The Badgers ran into similar shooting woes against CSI as they did against NIC. Snow College shot just 43 percent from the field and 26 percent from beyond the arc Saturday. The Badgers have shot just 21 percent (14-68) from deep over their last three games. Before the previous three games, Snow College shot nearly 39 percent as a team from beyond the arc throughout the season.
The Golden Eagles scored each of the first six points of the game to gain the early lead. The Badgers responded with a 10-0 run – five of which from Triplett, who would have one of his best games as a Badger. Snow College would eventually extend the lead out to 22-13 midway through the period.
A 10-1 run from CSI over the next three minutes evened the score at 23 apiece. A Christensen 3-pointer and a pair of buckets from Mark Brown Jr. put the Badgers back up by seven but the Golden Eagles outscored the Badgers 16-8 over the final six and a half minutes of the first half to take a 39-38 lead into halftime.
The second half started with eleven lead changes and four ties through the first ten minutes. It was a 9-0 run from the Golden Eagles that gave them the lead for good. CSI led by as many as 16 points before claiming the 85-71 victory.
Triplett finished with 20 points and 15 rebounds. Finlinson chipped in 13 points while Jones and Brown Jr. each added 10 points in the loss.
UP NEXT: The Badgers will head out onto the road for the final time this season as they take on No. 7 Salt Lake Community College Thursday in Taylorsville. The Bruins own a 23-3 overall record and an 8-2 mark within conference play. SLCC defeated the Badgers 70-66 in Ephraim Feb. 1. Thursday's matchup is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. inside the Lifetime Activities Center in Taylorsville. For video streaming and live stat information, visit snowbadgers.com.
