- The Snow College softball team will play its first home games of the season against Colorado Northwestern Community College Friday and Saturday in Ephraim.  Friday's games are slated to start at 1:00 p.m. with Saturday's twin scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. first pitch.

- The Badgers are coming off a series against No. 12 Salt Lake Community College in which they were swept over four games.  The four-game skid is the longest losing streak for the Badgers all season.

- Snow College dropped game one of the series 5-0.  This was the first time all season the Badgers have been shut out.  The Badgers were shut out just four times throughout the 2023 season.

- The Badgers scored just seven runs against the Bruins over the course of the four-game series. This is the lowest run total the Badgers have scored over any four-game stretch of the season.  The Badgers have averaged 7.1 runs per game through their first 12 conference games of the season.

- Ayden Fitch and Kamryn Allen led the charge for the Badgers offensively going a combined 8-21 (.381/.409/.714) during the series.  Over her last seven games, Fitch has gone a combined 11-21 (.524/.565/1.048) and has driven in eight runs for the Badgers.

- Hadlee Walker will enter play Friday riding a 12-game on-base streak, the longest such streak of her career.  Walker is batting .400/.488/.800 during her streak and has hit three doubles and two homers while scoring 12 runs.

- The Badgers score an average of 11.2 runs per game against the Spartans historically.  Over their last two seasons, the Badgers are scoring nearly 18 runs per game and have won each of those 16 games.

- Snow College owns a 92-7 overall record against CNCC historically.  The Badgers have won 33 consecutive games against the Spartans and have not lost to them since May 10, 2017.  The Badgers are 50-2 against CNCC in home games.

UP NEXT: The Badgers will continue its 20-game home stand and take on Utah State University Eastern in a four-game series next Friday and Saturday.  The Eagles are 16-9 overall and 8-8 within Scenic West Athletic Conference play.  The Badgers took three out of four from the Eagles in the first weekend of conference play in Price March 1 and 2.  Game one of the four-game series is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m. with Saturday's double head slated to begin at 12:00 p.m. at the Snow College Softball Complex.  For video streaming and live stat information, visit snowbadgers.com.

LAST TIME OUT: The Snow College softball team suffered a four-game sweep at the hands of No. 12 Salt Lake Community College over the weekend in Taylorsville.  With the losses, the Badgers drop to 19-14 overall and 8-8 within the Scenic West Athletic Conference.

The Badgers entered the weekend following a four-game series against No. 15 College of Southern Idaho during which they collected a win over the Golden Eagles.  The Badgers are 8-17 against ranked opponents over their last two seasons.

Snow College was shut out for the first time all season in game one of the series.  Bruins' pitcher Shelbee Jones took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before a one-out double from
Hadlee Walker recorded the first and only hit for the Badgers in the game.  Walker was stranded on the bases and the Badgers suffered a 5-0 defeat.

SLCC scored a pair of runs in the opening frame of game two.  Snow College responded and took the lead with three runs in the third inning.
Haddie Hadley started the rally with a walk.  She later scored on a double from
Tasia Shibuya two batters later. Â
Kamryn Allen brought home Shibuya on a home run to give the Badgers a 3-2 lead.

The game quickly unraveled for the Badgers following the third inning.  They surrendered three runs in each of the next three innings and suffered an 11-3 loss.

The Badgers found themselves in an early hole in game three of the series.  The Bruins scored a run in the second and five runs in the third inning to take a 6-0 lead.  Snow College did push across a run in the fourth inning on a homer from
Ayden Fitch but ended up losing 9-1 in five innings.

It was a tight game through five innings in the final game of the series.  After runs in the first and the third, the Bruins held a 2-0 lead heading into the fifth inning.  Snow College plated two runs as Allen slapped a bases-loaded single through the right side to tie the game.  Walker followed with a single to give the Badgers the lead.

SLCC immediately responded and scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.  The Bruins completed the sweep in the bottom of the sixth inning as they scored six runs and earned the 11-3 victory.

Fitch paced the Badgers offensively as she went 4-10 (.400/.455/.800) with a homer and a double.  Allen was 4-11 (.364/.364/.636) and drove in four runs over the weekend.
