Five players from the Snow College softball team have been named to the Scenic West Athletic Conference All-Region 18 teams.
Kamryn Allen was named to the All-Region First Team as a catcher while
Andrea Sweat received First Team honors as a designated player.
Kenley Henson (pitcher),
Tasia Shibuya (infield), and
Hadlee Walker (outfield) received All-Region Second Team honors.
Allen, a freshman from Parowan, Utah, started 55 games for the Badgers this season and compiled a .428/.476/.867 slash line. She hit 20 home runs and drove in 72 RBIs throughout the season, both school records. She tallied 71 hits during the 2024 season, one of only three players to record 70 or more hits during the year.
Sweat, a sophomore from Heber City, Utah appeared in 42 games for the Badgers and hit .413/.515/.975. She hit 13 homers and drove in 38 RBIs and scored 21 runs during the season.
Henson, a sophomore from West Valley, Utah, appeared in 40 games inside the circle for the Badgers. She recorded 12 wins and a 5.33 ERA over 145.2 innings pitched. She pitched eight complete games, including two shutouts, and struck out 110 batters during the year.
Shibuya, a sophomore from Syracuse, Utah, started 56 games for the Badgers during which she hit .379/.410/.632 at the plate. She hit seven home runs and drove in 46 RBIs. She hit 17 doubles, which led the team, as well as totaled 72 hits throughout the season.
Walker, a sophomore from Pleasant Grove, Utah, led the team in hitting as she slashed .429/.500/.871. She led the team in extra-base hits with 39 including 13 homers, 16 doubles, and a team-leading 10 triples. She was second on the team with 46 RBIs while leading the team in on-base percentage. Walker also reached base in each of the final 39 games of the season, which is a school record.
As a team, the Badgers compiled a 33-27 overall record and a 21-19 mark within conference play. They took third place in the Region 18 tournament following a 4-3 loss to the College of Southern Idaho in the semi-final round.
