Max Sultan Joins Snow College Wrestling Coaching Staff

Sultan

Max Sultan has been hired as an assistant coach to the wrestling programs, the Snow College Athletic Department announced Tuesday.

Sultan joins the Badgers from Maple Mountain High School where he has coached wrestling since 2019. During his time there, he has coached three individual state champions in addition to 24 individual state placers during his five years with the Golden Eagles.

Before joining the Golden Eagles, Sultan coached at Mountain View High School with current women's wrestling head coach Ross Taylor.  Sultan was part of the staff that led the Bruins to an Area Championship in 2016.

Sultan wrestled for the Wolverines at Utah Valley University from 2013-2019.  During his career, Sultan was named to the Big 12 All-Academic 1st Team twice.  Following his wrestling career, he graduated from UVU with a Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurship.

Sultan prepped at Whitewater High School in Fayetteville, Georgia, where he compiled a 141-21 overall record including a 15-1 mark at the GHSAA State Duals Tournament.  He helped lead the Wildcats to place in four championships and was named a team captain in two seasons.

Sultan will join the Badgers and assist with both the men's and women's wrestling programs.  The men's wrestling team finished the 2023-24 season with an 18-8 overall record and finished in 18th place at the NJCAA National Tournament.  The women's team went 8-4 during the year and finished in sixth place at Nationals which included a 1st-place finish from Corrie Williams, the first National Championship in program history.

"I am ecstatic to have been hired to coach both the men's and women's wrestling teams at a place that supports wrestling and is committed to growing both programs," Sultan said.  "I am most excited to get in the room and get to work building individual relationships with athletes and getting to be hands-on. Go Badgers!"
