Snow College will take on Central Arizona College at 2:00 p.m. and Arizona Western College at 7:00 p.m. Friday before facing Yavapai College at 9:00 a.m., Pima Community College at 11:30 p.m., and Eastern Arizona College at 3:00 p.m. Saturday.

KNOW YOUR FOE: CAC finished the 2024 season with a 22-20 overall record and a 17-15 mark within conference play. The Badgers are 8-7 all time against the Vaqueros and won their lone matchup last season 17-4 in five innings.

AWC was 27-23 during the 2024 campaign and 19-13 within Region 1 play. The Badgers did not face the Matadors last season and are just 5-9 all time against them. The Badgers' last victory came in an 8-0 result Feb. 2, 2023, in Yuma, Arizona.

Yavapai went just 13-24 in 2024 and 13-17 in conference play. Snow College earned a 15-1 victory against the Roughriders last season after having lost each of the previous three matchups. The Badgers are 4-8 all time against Yavapai.

Pima finished the 2024 season with a 43-14 overall record and a 26-6 mark within conference play. The Aztecs defeated EAC in the ACCAC Region I Championship. Snow College split their two matchups with the Aztecs last season. They suffered a 9-3 loss on opening day last season before earning an 8-0 victory Feb. 3. Snow College is 3-6 all time against the Aztecs.

The Gila Monsters compiled a 36-10 overall record and a 29-3 mark during the 2024 season. Two of those losses last year came against Snow College, as the Badgers earned 7-6 and 9-6 victories. The Badgers are 12-7 against EAC historically and have won four straight.Â

A SEASON TO REMEMBER: 2024 saw the Badgers finish with a winning record in a full season for the first time since 2019. Snow College recorded a 33-27 overall record and a 21-19 record within Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

The Badgers finished third within the SWAC and qualified for the Region 18 tournament at the end of the regular season. Snow College earned a victory against Utah State University Eastern before bowing out of the tournament to finish in third place.

2024 BY THE NUMBERS: As a team, the Badgers had a strong statistical 2024 season. Snow College recorded 588 hits and 100 home runs – both of which are program records – during the year. The Badgers were also just shy of breaking the record for runs scored with 458.
Snow College slashed .356/.413/.635 over the course of the season. The Badgers also saw a ton of success driving in runs. They tied the school record in runs batted in with 430. They also were menaces on the base paths, setting a record with 111 stolen bases throughout the year.
RECORD WATCH: After hitting 20 home runs in 2024, which set the school record for homers in a season, Kamryn Allen needs just eight more big flies to break the program record for home runs in a career. Alyssa Arslanian set the mark as she hit 27 homers during the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
WHO'S WHO ON THE ROSTER: Snow College will return five starters from the 2024 season. Allen will be joined in the infield by Brenley Boydston and Hailey Mangum. Reata O'Neal will be the lone returner in the outfield while Ayden Fitch will serve as the primary designated hitter during the season.
Allen, apart from setting the single-season record in homers, also drove in a record 72 RBIs in 2024. She played and started in 55 games for the Badgers while hitting .428/.476/.867 during the year.
Boydston, who played in 44 games, including 42 starts, slashed .320/.353/.440 while hitting three home runs and driving in 25 runs. She compiled five extra-base hits during the year.
Mangum appeared in 51 games, recording 48 starts. She was one of only six qualifying 2024 starters to record an OPS of .900 or better as she slashed .355/.434/.551. She tallied 15 extra-base hits, including six home runs, and drove in 26 RBIs.
O'Neal appeared in 48 games and made 40 starts. She recorded a slash line of .333/.373/.553 while recording 11 doubles and six home runs. She drove in 28 RBIs and was a perfect 13-13 in stolen base attempts.
Fitch, who recorded 39 starts in 44 games played, was one of four Badgers to hit over .400 during the year. She slashed .415/.456/.821 throughout the year. She blasted 12 homers and 12 doubles while driving in 39 RBIs.
Moki Maughan and Gracie Brooks highlight the other two sophomores who will be returning from last year's team. Maughan started in all 32 games she appeared in while hitting .236/.274/.292. She recorded 19 RBIs and four extra-base hits.
Brooks appeared in 40 games while making 20 starts for the Badgers. She slashed .245/.373/.388 while driving in five runs during the season.
The seven sophomores will be joined by nine incoming freshmen including Brooke Fisher, Nev Carrasquel, Madison Salisbury, Molly Roberts, Taimane Laolagi-Aloy, Avery Thorkelson, Gigi Hall, Zeyda Olvera, and Loreal Gonzalez.
INSIDE THE DUGOUT: Mikelle Magalogo returns for her third season at the helm for the Badgers. Over her two seasons with the team, she has compiled a 57-54 overall record and a 37-43 mark within conference play.Â
Under Magalogo, Snow College is 20-20 in home games and 14-24 on the road. The Badgers are 19-9 in non-conference games and have recorded eight victories over ranked teams over the past two seasons.
Magalogo will be joined on the sidelines once again by former Snow College Badger Brooke Brown, who is also in her third season with the team. Brooklyn Franco, from Columbia College, will round out the coaching staff for the 2024 season.
SCHEDULE BREAKDOWN: Snow College will play a full schedule during the season which includes a total of 49 games in the spring. The Badgers will play 18 unique opponents across five different states. Their conference schedule will consist of 32 games including 16 home games.
Following the CSN Coyote Classic, The Badgers will travel to Yuma, Arizona and participate in the Western Shootout hosted by Arizona Western College. They will face six opponents during the tournament.
The Badgers will wrap up their non-conference schedule at the Choccolocco Park Extravaganza in Oxford, Alabama where they will play six games during the three-day tournament.
Snow College will host their home opener and begin SWAC play Feb. 28 and March 1 against Utah State University Eastern. The Badgers will take a brief trip to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, and take on North Idaho College before returning home for four-game series' against a pair of teams ranked in the NJCAA Division I Softball Preseason Poll. Snow College will host No. 8 College of Southern Idaho March 14-15 and No. 10 Salt Lake Community College March 21-22.
After a four-game series in Price against USUE, the Badgers will finish their home schedule against NIC April 11 and 12 in Ephraim. They will wrap up their regular season on the road against CSI and SLCC. The Region 18 Tournament, should the Badgers qualify, will begin May 6 and will be hosted by the regular-season conference winner.
The Badgers will not face fellow conference foe Colorado Northwestern Community College as the Spartans have canceled their 2025 season.
UP NEXT: Snow College will travel to Yuma, Arizona, and participate in the Western Shootout. They will kick off the tournament against Phoenix College and Scottsdale Community College Jan. 30 before taking on Arizona Western College and Central Arizona College the following day.
