LAST TIME OUT: Everything is bigger in Texas, which includes the wins as the No. 2 Snow College men's basketball team collected three victories at the Texan Classic last weekend. The Badgers defeated No. 11 South Plains College 88-83 in overtime before securing wins against Lamar Community College and Hill College.

Snow College entered the three-day event having won all eight games to begin the 2025-26 season. Most recently, the Badgers earned a 79-67 victory against Northwest College Nov. 29 in Powell, Wyoming.

Thursday's game against the host school saw the Badgers play their first overtime game of the season. The Badgers got off to a slow start as a Texan 3-pointer gave them an 18-11 lead through the first eight minutes of action.

Snow College came to life and went on an 11-0 run to turn the tide. The Badgers kept their foot on the throttle and extended the run to 26-4 with two minutes remaining in the first half. They would eventually take a 38-28 lead into the halftime break.

The Texans came out of the break strong and scored 12 of the first 16 points to start the second half. A 10-2 run from the Badgers pushed the lead back to 10 with 14 minutes to play. Snow College would eventually push the lead to 14 points midway through the period.

South Plains made a furious comeback and over the next five minutes went on a 16-5 run to tie the game at 69. The Texans would take a 73-71 lead with under three minutes to play before a free-throw and a 3-pointer gave the Badgers the lead once again.

With 10 seconds to play, McCaden Adams was sent to the free-throw line, where he gave the Badgers a two-point edge. The Texans inbounded the ball and were able to tie the game on a dunk as the time expired to send the game to overtime.

Through the first four minutes of overtime, there were three lead changes and two ties. Adams took over in the final minute of the game. He started by sinking a pair of free throws to tie the game at 82. On the next defensive possession, he stopped the Texans' attack with a block.

After the Badgers grabbed the rebound and the shot clock was waning on their possession. Adams laced a 30-footer to give Snow College an 85-82 lead with 32 seconds to play. Adams sealed the game with three more free throws to give the Badgers an 88-83 victory – their third win against a ranked team this season.
