Brock McClure of the Snow College men's basketball team has been named the Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

McClure becomes the third Badger this season to claim the award. McClure helped the Badgers earn three victories at the Texan Classic last weekend in Levelland, Texas, including an 88-83 win against No. 11 South Plains College.

McClure, a sophomore from Lumberton, Texas, shined in his return to the Lone Star State. He recorded a double-double in all three games at the Texan Classic. He began the three-day event with 22 points and 11 rebounds against SPC to help the Badgers secure the overtime victory.

McClure followed up his performance against the Texans with 14 points and 11 rebounds against Lamar Community College the following day. He concluded the tournament with 22 points and 14 rebounds to match his career high.

In total, McClure averaged 19.3 points and 12 rebounds per game on 58 percent shooting from the field and 65 percent shooting from beyond the arc. For the season, he is averaging 14.1 points and 8.9 rebounds per game, including 18.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game over his last four.

McClure has scored in double figures in eight of the Badgers' 11 games this season, including three games with 20 or more points. He is shooting 49 percent from the field and 51 percent from distance through the first third of the year. He has recorded six double-doubles this year, including four in a row.
