Men's Basketball Hires Ethan Kahn as Assistant Coach

Snow College Men's Basketball Head Coach Andrew May announces the hiring of assistant coach Ethan Kahn.

Kahn was previously at NCAA D2 Catawba College, where he served as an Assistant for the Men's Basketball team. From 2021 to 2023, he served as Director of Basketball Operations/Video Coordinator. During his overall tenure at Catawba, Kahn had success, reaching the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament two out of his three years and helped the team win a SAC Championship.

In between both of his stints at Catawba, Kahn spent the 2023-24 campaign at Bemidji State University, where he was the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach. He was an integral part of the defensive improvements of the team and guard play.

Kahn came to North Carolina from Northern Arizona University, where he served as a Student Assistant for four years while also being the Head Student Assistant for three years. During his time at NAU, Kahn was responsible for video operations, maintaining stats for practice, food ordering, practice setup, equipment, the nutrition station, scout presentations, and day-to-day operations. He also helped organize and run camps.

Coach Kahn graduated from Northern Arizona University with a major in University Studies with double minors in Political Science and Health Wellness. While at Catawba, Kahn obtained his master's degree in sport management.

"Ethan has a track record of commitment to growth as a coach." Coach May said. "He has developed significantly under the tutelage of some great coaches, and his experience at the D1, D2, and now junior college level will greatly contribute to the winning culture we have here at Snow College. Ethan is a tireless worker, has a bright mind and a passion for the game, and a willingness to help grow and mentor the players under his influence. We are excited to welcome coach Ethan Kahn to our family."

"Snow College is recognized as one of the premier junior college programs in the country," Kahn said. "Under Coach May's leadership, the program has developed a remarkable culture that emphasizes both team success and individual growth. I'm honored to join and contribute to such a respected program."
