EPHRAIM, Utah (January 28, 2017) — The Snow College women's basketball team fell to the Colorado Northwestern Community College Lady Spartans 64-54 on Saturday afternoon.    This loss puts the Lady Badgers at 4-4 in conference play and 9-10 overall.

After falling behind early in the game, the Lady Badgers bounced back, going on a 8-2 run to tie the game at the end of the first.   After a Jazmin Chavez three pointer with three minutes left in the second quarter, the Lady Badgers went on a 9-2 run to finish with a 7-point lead heading into halftime. 

The Lady Badgers were outscored in the third quarter 22-14 as the Lady Spartans caught a wave of momentum and took the lead back with ten minutes left to play in the game.  after a 14-0 run by the Spartans to start the fourth quarter, Shaylee Reed and Siki Suguturaga both scored to help spark a momentum change for the Badgers with two minutes left.  The Badgers weren't able to finish against Colorado Northwestern as they fell to the Spartans by 10 points.  Chavez and Kayla Hugie lead the Badgers in scoring with 12 points, while Lindsay Cook led the Badgers with 8 rebounds.  

Snow College will be back at the Horne Activities Center to take on College of Southern Idaho on January 31, 2017 at 5:30pm.
