Liana Kaitu'u has been named the assistant coach for the women's basketball team, Snow College announced Wednesday. Kaitu'u joins
Michael Shreeve on the sideline, who is embarking on his first season at the helm.

Kaitu'u comes to Snow College after serving as the assistant girls basketball coach at West High School during the 2025-26 season. She helped the Panthers finish as the 5A State runner-up.

Prior to her time at West High School, Kaitu'u spent the 2024-25 season in the same position at Judge Memorial Catholic High School.

Kaitu'u earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing from the University of Portland in 2022. She proceeded to earn a master's degree from Utah Valley University, graduating in 2024.

Kaitu'u played collegiately for UVU and Portland from 2018-2024. During her time there, she helped the Pilots win the West Coast Conference Championship in the 2019-2020 season. She also helped the Pilots make one other National Tournament appearance in 2023.

Kaitu'u prepped at East High School and graduated in 2018. She was named a 4A All-State Honorable Mention as a freshman and a sophomore. As a junior, she received 3
rd-Team All-State Honors while being named the 5A MVP as a senior. Kaitu'u helped the Leopards win the 2017-18 5A State Championship.

Kaitu'u, a native of Salt Lake City, Utah, says she is looking forward to helping coach and develop the next generation of players. She will join Shreeve and begin preparing for the 2026-27 season immediately.
