Box Score EPHRAIM, Utah (January 31, 2017) — The Snow College women's basketball team let a halftime lead slip away at the hands of College of Southern Idaho on Tuesday night. This win moves the Lady Badgers to 4-5 in conference play and 9-11 on the season as they lost to the Lady Golden Eagles 68-75. Â
After falling behind early in the first quarter, Madison Mooring hit a three pointer which was quickly followed by a Golden Eagle missed shot. Guard Harley Hansen was able to find the net on Snow College's next possession to begin a 14-1 run for the Badgers. Snow College found themselves leading at halftime 32-28. Â
The Lady Badgers fell behind once again in the third quarter as the Lady Golden Eagles had a flash of momentum on their side as they went up by as many as seven points to finish the third. After trailing 40-47 with just over eight minutes left in the game, the Badgers suffered a major blow as leading scorer up to that point, Lindsay Cook, fouled out of the game. Kayla Hugie hit three, three pointers in a row to bring the Badgers within seven points but it didn't end up being enough to overtake the Golden Eagles. The leading scorer for the Lady Badgers was Kayla Hugie with 18 points.
Snow College will be back at the Horne Activities Center to take on Salt Lake Community College on February 4, 2017 at 3pm.
