Box Score EPHRAIM, Utah (February 23, 2017) — The Snow College women's basketball team had 17 steals as tough defense helped them to beat Utah State Eastern 62-50 on Thursday afternoon. This final home win on the season puts the Lady Badgers at 7-8 in conference play and 12-14 on the season.Â
The Lady Badgers and Lady Golden Eagles were virtually deadlocked as they went throughout the first quarter. With about eight minutes left in the first half, Madison Mooring hit a three pointer to give the Badgers the first double digit lead of the game. Ten steals and consistent scoring helped the Lady Badgers to hang onto their lead and were up by ten-points at halftime.   Â
The Lady Badgers went on a 16-5 run to begin the second half and increase their lead by 20 points. The Golden Eagles wouldn't go away though as they made their own 13-0 run to pull the game within eight points with just over eight minutes left to play in the game. Mooring lead the team with 15-points and Jazmin Chavez was one rebound away from a double-double with 9-rebounds and 14-points.
The Lady Badgers will travel to Rangely, Colorado to take on Colorado Northwestern on February 25, 2017 at 3pm for their final regular season game of the year.
