"We had a great first half," said Head Coach Zu Grinsell. "We just need to put together four quarters. We had a letdown in the third quarter, it was good we had such a big lead that we could weather the storm. I really liked our effort on the boards."
The third quarter came back to haunt the Badgers again on Saturday. After trailing by just one at the half Snow College was outscored 23-6 in the third quarter and even though the Badgers won the fourth quarter 17-11 the third quarter letdown was too much to overcome.
"We had some defensive breakdowns," said Grinsell. "We have had a hard time keeping our intensity up in the third quarter. We are right there. We just need some small tweaks."
Ashlee Edwards led the Badgers with 13 points, ten rebounds and four steals. Kylie Larsen had ten points and nine rebounds and provided a much needed spark off the bench for Snow College. Passion Reitz also had 10 pointed, three steals and three assists.
The Badgers will be in Casper, Wyoming to play Casper College and Northeastern Junior College this coming weekend.
