Box Score Saturday Snow College had one quarter that the Badgers couldn't recover from and dropped their second game of the year to Salt Lake Community College 51-40.
"We played a pretty good game with the exception of the third quarter," said Head Coach Zu Grinsell. "You can't have let downs against a team as good as Salt Lake and hope to win games."
The Badgers shot just ten percent from the field in the third quarter and scored just three points. The Bruins used that quarter to score 16 of their own points and extend their two point halftime lead to 15 going into the fourth quarter.
"Our defense was strong, but we couldn't get our shots to fall," said Grinsell. "I thought we got some good looks offensively and we moved the ball pretty well, we just couldn't get shots to fall."
Snow College had five blocked shots and eleven steals and even outscored the Bruins n the fourth quarter, but couldn't make up for the third quarter collapse.
Samiana Suguturaga led the Badgers with 13 points, Addi Johnson finished with eight as the Badgers dropped a half game behind the Bruins for second place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference. Snow College will finish with three games in three days on the road to the College of Southern Nevada and Community Christian College.
