- The Snow College women's basketball team will head to Lamar, Colorado to participate in the Lamar College Classic this weekend.  The Badgers will take on Lamar Community College Friday at 5:00 p.m. and Trinidad State College Saturday at 12:00 p.m.

- The Badgers are coming off the Vista Auto Thanksgiving Classic during which they collected an 82-68 victory against Western Wyoming Community College.  They then suffered a 92-63 defeat against Casper College to conclude the tournament.

- The Badgers are currently in the midst of a 10-game road stretch.  They have not played a home game since the first two games of the season.  The Badgers are 33-27 away from home in the past three seasons including a 4-2 record this year.

- As a team, Snow College is averaging 16.5 offensive rebounds per game.  Their proficiency at crashing to offensive glass lands them just out of the top 25 in the country at 27th overall.

- The Badgers have never faced either of the two opponents they will face at the Lamar College Classic.  Lamar College and Trinidad State are both members of Region 9.

- Lamar College owns a 2-8 overall record to start the season.  As a team, they are averaging just 51.7 points per game and allowing opponents to score an average of 76.2 points per game.

- Trinidad State is winless on the season sporting a 0-10 record.  They are averaging 58.6 points per game as a team while allowing opponents to score an average of 75.9 points per game.

LAST TIME OUT:Â The Snow College women's basketball team split a pair of games at the Vista Auto Thanksgiving Classic Tournament. The Badgers defeated Western Wyoming Community College 82-68. The following day, they faced Casper College and lost 92- 63.Â
The Badgers started their tournament facing the Mustangs. The last time these teams faced each other, the Mustangs defeated the Badgers in the final seconds.Â
The Badgers had a slower start in the first quarter, not scoring as many points as the Mustangs. The Badgers were able to fight back, however, and they found themselves leading by the time they went into halftime, 34-31.Â
During the second half, the Badgers came out strong, scoring heavily against the Mustangs. They put up 11 more points than the Mustangs did in the second half. Making the final score 82-68.Â
Ainsley Thurber had a career-high scoring game, scoring 18 points and had 6 rebounds.
Madison Hosino had a high-scoring game as well, putting up 13 points. Right behind her was
Iyana Beh, with a career-high of 12 points.
Emily Evans had 11 points and six rebounds, helping lead the Badgers to victory.Â
The next day, the Badgers faced the Thunderbirds. The Badgers had a rough first quarter, only scoring 16 points. The Thunderbirds put up 30 points in the opening stanza, putting the Badgers in a bad position. By the time halftime came, the Badgers were down 18 points.Â
The Badger increased their offensive output in the second half, scoring 36 total points; however, they were unable to overcome the deficit and ended up suffering a 92-63 loss.Â
Thurber once again led the Badgers in scoring, putting up 12 points. Hosino added 11 points in the loss.Â

UP NEXT: The Badgers will culminate their current 10-game home stretch at the Columbia Basin Invitational in Pasco, Washington next weekend.  They will face Walla Walla Community College Friday at 1:00 p.m. followed by a meeting with the host school Columbia Basin College Saturday at 2:00 p.m.  For video streaming and live stat information, visit snowbadgers.com.
