The No. 4 Snow College women's wrestling team had a busy week on the road in Grand Junction, Colorado. The team faced off against Chadron State College and Colorado Mesa University, a pair of Division II schools ranked inside the NCAA Women's Wrestling Rankings.

Rachel Jones won her matchup in the 109-pound division with six takedowns and a pin at 3:58.Â

Samantha Memmott started off trailing in the first period with only one takedown. Once the second period started, Memmott had three more takedowns and a pin to seal the win.

The same day, the Badgers faced off with CMU, who is ranked 4th in the NCAA.
Isabelle Clemments had a great match with four takedowns.

Abigail Trayhorn held her ground and fought hard, with three takedowns, resulting in a 6-6Â Â tie against her opponent in the 143-pound division.Â

The following day, the Badgers participated in the Maverick Open. The Badgers had three 2nd place winners including Memmott in the 116-pound division. She won each of her first two matches to enter the championship bout where she would be defeated by technical fall to finish second.

Valary Ethington also finished second in the 123-pound division.  She cruised past her first three opponents, two by technical fall and the third by fall to reach the championship.  She was defeated by technical fall to finish second.Â
Â
Corrie Williams was the third Badger to reach the championship bout in the 143-pound division.  She earned two victories via fall in just over one minute in each match before suffering the defeat in the final round to finish as the runner-up.

The Badgers also had one 3
rd-place finalist, which was Jennifer Thompson in the 101-pound division.  She won her first match by technical fall before falling down into the consolation bracket.  She rattled off three consecutive victories to finish in third place.

Abigail Trayhorn,
Angella Van Valkenburg, and
Rachel Johnson all finished in fourth place during the open.  Trayhorn and Van Valkenburg each collected four victories en route to their fourth-place finishes.

Valentina Martinez and
Audrey Gribble both finished in 5
th.  Martinez won her first two matches before dropping to the consolation bracket where she won one match to claim fifth.  Gribble won a pair of matches, one by fall in just 44 seconds, to finish fifth.

Jones finished in sixth place during the open in the 109-pound division.
