Snow College women's wrestling competed at the NJCAA National Championships in Council Bluffs, Iowa, March 6–7. The Badgers captured sixth place out of 30 teams, producing seven All-Americans who finished in the top eight of their respective weight classes. Two wrestlers finished third, two finished fourth, one finished fifth, one finished sixth, and one finished seventh.
Third-Place Finishers: In the 145-pound division, Isabella Morgan battled through an eight-person bracket to earn a third-place finish. After advancing from a first-round bye, Morgan secured a victory via fall in 1:17 during the quarterfinals. Morgan dropped a 7–2 decision in the semifinals but responded in the consolation bracket with a technical fall victory, 10–0 in 3:29. Morgan sealed third place with another technical fall win, 10–0 in 3:26, finishing the tournament with only one loss.
Maeli Howard added another podium finish for Snow College, taking third place in the 180-pound division. Howard opened the tournament with a fall victory in 1:00 and followed with a technical fall win, 10–0 in 51 seconds. After another fall in the quarterfinal round, Howard fell in a 7–4 semifinal decision. Howard rebounded in the consolation semifinals with a 15–13 victory before securing third place with a fall in 2:50.
Fourth-Place Finishers: After winning her bracket at the Region 18 Tournament, Kaylee Young earned fourth place in the 117-pound division. Young opened the tournament with back-to-back technical fall victories, defeating opponents 10–0 in 2:42 and 1:14. Following a quarterfinal loss, Young battled through the consolation rounds with an 18–15 decision victory, a fall in 2:05, and a 6–1 decision in the consolation semifinals. Young ultimately placed fourth in the eight-person bracket.
In the 124-pound weight class, Emily Pasillas also secured a fourth-place finish. Pasillas advanced from a bye and earned a technical fall victory, 13–2 in 4:18, before adding a fall in 2:49 during the quarterfinal round. After falling in the semifinals, Pasillas responded with a technical fall victory, 10–0 in 3:31 in the consolation bracket to secure a spot in the third-place match and finish fourth overall.
Fifth-Place Finisher: Competing in the 103-pound division, Ali Hansen earned a fifth-place finish after previously placing second at the Region 18 Tournament. Hansen opened competition with a fall in just 32 seconds and followed with another fall in 1:57 in the quarterfinal round. Hansen dropped a semifinal match but bounced back in the placement round, securing a 9–3 decision victory in the fifth-place match.
Sixth-Place Finisher: Inaily Samaniego, who entered after earning first at the Region 18 Tournament, finished sixth in the 138-pound division. Samaniego worked through the consolation bracket with multiple dominant victories, including a fall in 15 seconds, a technical fall victory 12–2 in 2:57, and another fall in 21 seconds. Samaniego added two more falls in the later consolation rounds, one in 2:22 and 3:41, before concluding the tournament with a sixth-place finish.
Seventh-Place Finisher: In the 235-pound division, Brighton Wise placed seventh overall after also earning a regional championship earlier in the season. Wise advanced through the consolation rounds with consecutive fall victories in 2:32 and 2:49 before securing seventh place with a technical fall win, 10–0 in 1:23
The Badgers conclude the season with an overall record of 10–10, claiming the Region 18 Championship and finishing strong with a sixth-place team finish at the NJCAA National Championships.
