The Snow College women's wrestling team will host the 3
rd annual NJCAA Coaches Association Duels this Saturday in Richfield. This is the first time the Badgers have hosted the event.
Â
The Badgers will host a total of 13 schools from across the country for the open-style event. The duels are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. The following schools will participate in the event:
Â
Iowa Central
Southeast Nebraska
Umpqua
Hawkeye
Southwestern Oregon
Carl Albert
Iowa Lakes
Northern Oklahoma
Murray
Big Bend
Fort Hays NWKT
Trinidad State
Â
Snow College has participated in the event in each of the previous two seasons of its existence. The Badgers took second place as a team during the 2023-24 season and placed fifth last season.
Â
The NJCAA Coaches Association Duels have been hosted by Carl Albert State in Poteau, Oklahoma, each of the last two seasons. Snow College was designated as the host school this year after Head Coach Ross Taylor took over as the Coaches Association President.
Â
The Coaches Association Duals provide an opportunity for teams across the country to compete against each other for the first time this season. The competition serves to provide the ranking committee with valuable data to help seed the NJCAA National Tournament.
Â
As an alternative to traditional brackets in similar tournaments, the 2026 NJCAA Coaches Association Duels will feature pool brackets. The winner of each pool will then be placed into the championship bracket to determine a winner of that weight class.
Â
The event, which will feature four mats of duels, will be streamed by Snow College to FloSports. Live scoring of each dual will also be available through FloSports.
Â
The Badgers will also take on Trinidad State in a dual Friday, beginning at 6:00 p.m. inside the Sevier Valley Center. For video streaming and live scoring information, visit snowbadgers.com.
