The Snow College men's wrestling team capped off its regular season with a trio of defeats against Western Wyoming Community College, Utah Valley University, and Air Force Academy last week.

The Badgers entered the week after capturing a pair of victories at the NJCAA Coaches Duals in Miami, Ok. Jan. 14 over Otero Junior College and Cowley County Community College.  Snow College began the week against the WWCC Mustangs in Rock Springs.

Snow College scored six points against the Mustangs via forfeit in the 184-pound division.  The Badgers had two matches go the distance and four other matches that went into the second round, but they would ultimately fall 46-6.

A quick turnaround pitted the Badgers against AFA Friday in Orem. Snow College had one match that ended in the first round and another that ended late in the second.  Six of the eight matches went three complete rounds, but the Badgers were unable to come out on top and would be defeated 44-0.

Snow College also squared off with UVU in Orem.  Zach Johnson was the lone victor for the Badgers against the Wolverines as he defeated Mark Takara via fall in just 90 seconds.  Snow College had four bouts go the distance but would suffer a 43-6 defeat.Â

Having wrapped up the regular season, the Badgers will participate in the Region 18 tournament beginning Feb. 12 in Oregon City, Or.  For additional information visit snowbadgers.com.
