- The Badgers are coming off their penultimate road trip. They fell to Salt Lake Community College in the final moments of the game, 50-47, before heading to Rangely, Colorado, and convincingly downed Colorado Northwestern Community College 75-55.Â

- With Dalana Jakovljevic's career high 15 rebounds against CNCC, she and Megan Johnson, who recorded 15 rebounds against CNCC earlier this season, are the first pair of Badgers to record as many since Jazmin Chavez and Harley Hansen each recorded 16 in the 2017-2018 season. That pair recorded their performances against Pima Community College (12/01/17) and the College of Southern Idaho (01/06/18).Â

- The Badgers have been outrebounded in six of their 10 conference games, with two of their three conference wins coming when they outrebound their opponents.Â

- The Badgers have been outrebounded by a total of 20 in the first two matchups with the Eagles earlier this season, 11 in the first meeting and nine in the second. They are 19-41 when outrebounded under Head Coach Zu Grinsell.

- Snow College, in its non-conference games, committed fewer turnovers than its opponents in nine of 15 games for an overall record of 12-3. In conference, the Badgers have turned the ball over more than their opponents in seven of 10 games.Â

- USUE holds a 17-8 record on the year with an 8-2 mark in conference play. The Eagles' two conference losses came against North Idaho College (56-55) and SLCC (58-46).

- The Badgers lead the all-time series against USUE 24-17 with a 12-9 record in Ephraim. They have lost their last four home matches, the most recent of which was a 64-58 loss earlier this season.Â
LAST TIME OUT: The Snow College women's basketball team hit the road for the penultimate time this season as it traveled to Taylorsville, where it fell in a close matchup to No. 24 Salt Lake Community College 50-47. The Badgers then headed to Rangely, Colorado, where they defeated Colorado Northwestern Community College in convincing fashion, 75-55.Â
The Badgers were coming off a weekend where they split their games against the Idaho schools inside the Horne Activity Center. They defeated North Idaho College 82-59 before they fell to No. 9 College of Southern Idaho 88-63.
The Badgers opened the game against SLCC hot as they got out to a quick 8-2 lead within the first four minutes of play, bolstered by a pair of
Megan Johnson layups. The Bruins would regain their footing as they went on their own 10-2 run to close out the first quarter with a slight lead.Â
The second quarter saw both teams trade buckets early. SLCC held an 18-14 lead with five minutes left in the half. The Badgers would spark a 6-2 burst off a
Kysa Shippen offensive rebound to a layup, and a free throw a possession later to send the game tied into the break at 20 points apiece.Â
The third period had the Badgers take their first lead of the game since the halfway mark of the first quarter as
Lala Baldwin hit a three in the opening minutes of the period. Snow College would hold onto the lead for the rest of the quarter and head into the final stanza up 34-32.
In the fourth quarter, the Badgers jumped out to a quick start with Baldwin and
Sara Aoki combining for nine points in the first five minutes.Â
The Bruins responded with their own nine points in that time to preserve a slight Badger lead as the quarter progressed. The Badgers would cool off as the Bruins outscored them 9-4 to capture the 50-47 win.Â
Baldwin led the Badgers with 11 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. Aoki and Johnson both chipped in eight points.Â
The Badgers opened against CNCC strongly, jumping to a 13-1 lead by the midway mark of the first quarter. They would continue to use the first to build a 16-point lead into the second period, led by
Dalana Jakovljevic with six points and
Sydnee Smith and
Avery Allred with four apiece.
The second period had the Spartans keep pace with the Badgers as both sides sparked runs back and forth, one of which saw Aoki splash back-to-back threes broken up by a CNCC free throw. The Badgers entered the half with a 40-23 lead.Â
The Badgers kept a similar pace in the third quarter, outscoring the Spartans 10-6 through the first five minutes of the half. Jakovljevic would secure five of those 10 points, a trio of which came from the stripe. The Badgers would carry the lead into the final stanza up 58-35.Â
The Badgers would cruise through the final period of play to defeat the Spartans 75-55.
Hartlynn Richins would score five points over the final five minutes of play to help secure the victory.Â
Jakovljevic recorded the second double-double of her career with 15 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. Three other Badgers scored in the double digits with Aoki recording 13, Smith 12, and Allred 10.Â
